The Gap We Are Closing
Northern Michigan is home to nearly 500,000 people. The region has no youth psychiatric beds at all and only about 50 adult beds. Conservative estimates put the real need at 120 or more. This gap is not an accident—it is the result of decisions that can be changed. We are working to close this gap so that every person in our region receives the timely, compassionate, and medically appropriate care they deserve.
Our Goals

Regional Campus
We advocate for a regional behavioral health campus serving 21 counties with inpatient, residential, and step-down care for youth and adults.

Full Continuum
Our proposal includes a full continuum of care, from crisis stabilization to outpatient recovery, ensuring no gaps in the healing process.

Whole-Body Healing
We integrate clinical care with holistic therapies, including art and nature-based approaches, to support the mind and body as one.
